Jake’s Oranges being filmed in Bill Good’s Home

by Bill Good Marketing on June 8, 2012

Possibly the first Christmas letter we ever created for our client’s was Jake’s Oranges.  This story seems to have been around a long time.  Is it true? Who knows.  It touches hearts, so who cares.

Jake’s Oranges is a Christmas themed story of an orphan named Jake.  In it, Jake learns the true meaning of generosity.   This story has been in my Letter’s Library® for clients since my Library came online.  The story has been read at family gatherings, churches, and Christmas Parties all over North America for years by the clients of my clients.

A few days ago, I received a call from a film production company that wanted to rent our home for a few days. They said they were filming Christmas Oranges based on the book of the same title.  Well, I looked that up on Amazon, and it’s the same story.  Christmas Oranges was published 2002, long after our clients were sending Jake’s Oranges at the holidays.

Through some mysterious pipeline, I guess what goes around somehow comes around.

Here are some pictures I shot last night.

This isn’t the first time the my house has been used in film.   The Good Home has been used twice by The Foundation for a Better Life.  The video below had several scenes filmed on location at the Good Home in Draper.

“Remember When” was honored with a 2011 CINE Golden Eagle Award.
