Always Be Prospecting

Always be prospecting!

This is one of the bedrock principles of my system.

If you are not always prospecting, when the next bear market strikes, you will experience a period of “enforced giving back” also called a “guaranteed income reduction plan.”

But if you, as the senior FA on your team, try to “do it yourself,” you will hardly ever sustain the “always be prospecting” thrust. You start a prospecting program. It works. You therefore stop prospecting. Some weeks or months later, your pipeline is as dry as a bone in the Mojave. You need help.

This is why I want you to attend a vital conference call:

My first guest is Mike Sheehy. He attended “Prospecting Mastery” as an FA, but look at what he did! He went back and promptly trained his team on exactly what he wanted them to know. He got the info and delivered the message to his team:

“As an advisor, the Prospecting Mastery Course helped our office organize campaigns to help us grow our prospecting pipeline. It helped us identify what we were doing wrong in our seminars and how to do them the “Good” way. When I returned, I copied the course materials and gave a copy to each staff member. We use it as a reference manual for running our various campaigns. Personally – I believe this is very helpful for advisors and established SAs.”

I might disagree with one point Mike made.

It is surely helpful for FAs and established SAs. Also, consider it also for Junior FAs or even a brand new Sales Assistant.

Who Should Attend?

The first answer is: perhaps not you or your team. If you are meeting your new client/new asset goals, this is not for you, AND if you have tons of connections in the markets you want to be in, don’t come, and don’t send any one. (Hint: Consider our “Mastering Relationship Management Course.”)

You should attend if:

  • You have a junior partner (ask about the special for two people).
  • You know you cannot achieve your prospecting goals based on relationship marketing only.
  • You want to get into a new market.
  • Your clients are dying off and you don’t want your business going with them.
  • You have a new Sales Assistant and know you need to focus on mass marketing.

Bill Good said, “Who is not content, needs more clients.”

.What Makes This Course Different?

Let me introduce my second guest, Stephanie Peterson.

Stephanie is the Director of our Success Coaches. She was our instructor for Sales Assistant Boot Camp and has now graduated to teaching both the Prospecting Mastery and Mastering Relationship Management courses.

“Prospecting Mastery” is a “doing course.” Yes, you will learn a lot, but you are also going to DO a lot.

Stephanie will brief you on what you will be doing:

  • Google Alerts Lab.
  • The “Money in Motion” Course.
  • Pipeline Management Workshop.
  • Seminar Management Workshop.
