In 2009, I wrote:

Early this year, I took on the role of the child in a modern day rendition of the fable, “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” As various seers, analysts, financial writers, prognosticators debated “black swans,” and even talked about the progeny of modern portfolio theory, I announced: “Modern Portfolio theory is dead! Its consort, Buy and Hold is dead.”

Perhaps I was able to see this as clearly as I did because I am not a financial advisor. But just as the child saw clearly that the emperor was naked, I saw just as clearly that not only is modern portfolio theory dead, but that advisors now need to take back the management of their funds.

Whack! Two foundation stones of accepted wisdom gone … at least in my mind. Yours?

Let’s assume you know you have to take control. You know you can’t let Bear Market #17 do you and your clients in. Let’s assume you decide to attend “No More Pies” and become a tactical, discretionary, fee-based financial advisor.

Now what?

That’s what we will be discussing Tuesday, August 6th at 4:15 PM ET.

Two graduates of “No More Pies!” will join Ric, Jack, and me on this conference call.
They will talk about life as fee-based, discretionary, tactical advisors.

Now What?-—Agenda

4:15 PM Sharp Bill Good: Overview of NMP
4:25-4:35 Ric Lager: Day 1. While Ric and Jack “team teach,” Ric is the primary instructor
on Day 1 at “No More Pies!.” He is what can only be described as a
Master of the Dorsey Wright
® tool box. He will explain how and why you will be
able to make decisions at the end of Day 1.
4:35-4:45 Philip Board was a graduate of NMP 1 in 2009. He has tripled his discretionary
assets since then. He will tell you a story we tell in every session of NMP since.
Find out what Philip did Day 1 of NMP-1.
4:45-4:55 Jack Reutemann is not only a master practitioner of the Dorsey Wright tool box,
but he is a master at telling the story, AND putting the system in place to manage a discretionary practice. Jack will cover the highlights of what you will learn on Day 2.
4:55-5:05 Barton Close has developed a simple way to tell clients about him taking over
management of their funds.
5:05-?? We are prepared to stay for questions.
